Set your printer settings to maximum quality rather than speed printing. Having printed out the files - cut out using a scalpel and a ruler and glue the templates onto heavy card. I strongly recommend you obtain some 'mounting board' from either an Art Supply Store, or a Picture Framer - its the stuff they use to frame a picture with. It's good and strong and cuts well with a sharp knife. Use PVA glue to assemble the buildings and reinforce the structure inside buy making a 'floor' but gluing half way up the walls inside rather than on the bottom.
